Presentation
The Fourth Seminar on the Advances of Learning deals
with the study of the intellective structures on which learning is based.
Intelligence embodies the fundamental key of mental
functioning, but its scientific study, because of its complex connotations
and controversial implications, is still in a phase of consolidation.
Bringing together some of the major researchers on intelligence, from
the fields of Biology, Artificial Intelligence, Neuropsychology,
Developmental Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Psychology of Memory,
and Psychology of Learning, the Seminar intends to update the most
recent research developments on intelligence and contribute to
achieving the most advanced synthesis.
Following a method that has by now become a tradition, the invited
speakers will present research results and important developmental
theories, and will then debate with colleagues and the public on the
significance of their studies.
