Abstract

"Reproducing intelligence in an artefact.
Artificial intelligence and artificial life".

In the last ten years, the cognitive capacities were studied not only experimentally and with other traditional methods, but also looking to reproduce these capacities through simulations or with robots.
The report debates two approaches that were followed, that of artificial intelligence, based on the analogy between the human mind and the computer, and that of artificial life, which rejects this analogy and studies the cognitive capacities with models inspired by the structure and function of the brain, "simulative Modelling of intelligence.
